One House at a Time (OHAAT) is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization that is working to end child bedlessness through a program called Beds for Kids. Since 1998 the Beds for Kids program has provided beds and bedding for 15,000+ children and youth in Greater Philadelphia. Recipients are referred to the program by organizations that serve low-income families (e.g. human service agencies, hospitals, schools, etc.). These Referral Partners are essential to the program’s success because they provide targeted outreach through interviews and home visits.
