For more than 50 years, the Women’s Resource Center (WRC) has helped women and girls in the five counties of Greater Philadelphia successfully navigate life’s transitions and inspire others to do the same.
The heart of WRC, the Information & Referral Helpline provides connections to community resources, intake for WRC programs and services, and important data on the evolving needs of the women who reach out to WRC for assistance.
The most common calls are about legal assistance, counseling, basic needs, housing, abuse, and mental health issues.
In addition to providing these resources, WRC hosts a program called Girls Lead. Girls Lead is a leadership and protective life skills program. This program is aimed at helping middle and high school girls with untapped leadership potential find their footing and thrive.
