The Department of Public Safety is comprised of the Department of Licenses and Inspections, including the Building Official’s Office and Housing Division; the Health Department; and the Fire Department. Our employees protect the residents of the City of Chester from unsafe and life threatening conditions and ensure safety through code enforcement, housing and food establishment inspections, outreach programs, and fire safety.
